Hello and welcome back to episode 127. In this espisode, Patrick talks with Dr. Cathy Fialon. She has her PhD in criminal justice, and has worked in a variety of roles in the criminal justice. She is also the CEO of Good Harbor Institute. Dr. Fialon talks about improving the criminal justice system by teaching and training first responders on how to speak the language of "Trauma Care." By learning this, the people that officers come into contact with can be more compliant, less violent, less recedivism, and there will be more successful outcomes.

A very good and interesting interview.

Hello everyone and welcome back to the show. In this episode, Patrick talks about the horrible topic of active shooters. Active shooter incidents are unfortunately increasing in frequency in America and across the globe. Members of local governments and the community must band together and combat this threat. Not only must efforts bring together first responders, including police, fire and EMS, into an integrated response, but research and experience indicates that local governments must increasing involve and educate themselves and business people in what to do when confronted with such a threat or an actual shooting itself.

Hello everyone and welcome back to episode 120. In this show, Patrick talks about the importance of the crime scene. The first responders to the scene are critical in getting aid to the injured, and protecting the crime scene. Remember the more people on the crime scene the more problematic it can become. You will always bring something to the crime scene and take something with you. There is no such thing as bad evidence - evidence gets tossed from court or other proceedings because of human error.

A good reminder.
