Some people who are in treatment think once they are done it's over and they can go on with their life. While the latter part is true, the former is not. Your recovery never ends my friend. It will require hard work on your part and you will have good days and bad. However, remember you are never alone and you need to utilize your network and remember and apply what you learned in treatment. One day at a time my friend.
My treatment provided me with the tools and the foundation to go forward and I do everyday.
Remember your recovery is constant. You can do it! So many believe in you and your recovery. Keep up the great work.
You are not alone. You are never alone.

Everyone is talking resiliency which is good, but do YOU know what resiliency really is? Are you resilient? Because I thought I was too. I thought because I was a police officer I could handle anything life threw at me and I did. Until, I couldn't anymore. As humans, we aren't designed to see the trauma that we see on a daily basis. Think of a suitcase that you are packing. Sooner our later you won't be able to close that suitcase and items will start falling out. That is what happened to me, and sooner or later it can happen to you. The items I couldn't pack away started to manifest into bad habits and addictions.
Do an internal search warrant on yourself. Are you really as good as you say you are? A big part of resiliency is getting up and moving forward after a knockdown. However, many of us don't. We linger there. We let that one incident define us.
Remember you are more resilient than you know. There is nothing life can throw at you that you can't handle and work through with the right team such as The Shatterproof Program.
Please take care of yourself and for once put yourself first.
Go out and conquer your day, and your life.

Hello and Welcome back to the Top Ranked Criminal Justice Evolution Podcast. Thank you for making this show very popular. If you would share with family and friends and give us a 5-Star Rating and Review we sure would appreciate it.
A big shout out and thank you to YOU, the Criminal Justice Professional. In this difficult time you continue to serve with honor and that doesn't go unnoticed by the majority of Americans. No matter what you read, see or hear remember that vast majority of people support you. Please be safe and keep up the great work.
If you or someone you know is suffering with depression, addiction issues or both, please reach out to FHE - Health. If you are suffering and you are a first responder please reach out to FHE - Health Shatterproof Program for First Responders at 844-650-1399 or reach out to me directly at 303-960-9819.
So excited to have Mark Pfetzer on the show. Mark is a full time Law Enforcement Professional in New Mexico with many dedicated and honorable years of service. Mark is one of those individuals that is making an impact with First Responder Health and Wellness. Mark is so dedicated to this cause that he and a team of first responders at rowing across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Talisker Atlantic Whiskey Challenge. All for raising awareness and action for First Responder Health and Wellness.
Mark is also part of Guardian Initiatives who's mission and dedication is below:
Each and every one of us are served by first responders in our communities. These men and women voluntarily enter in to a profession that we all know to be dangerous. Gunfire, ambushes, fires, search and rescue missions, and emergency driving are all dangers of the job that the general public hear about and can understand.
However, lurking in the shadows of these high profile dangers is a lesser known, but just as deadly risk. The psychological traumas experienced by our nation’s police, fire, EMS, and 911 dispatchers can lead some down a destructive and all too often deadly path. The consequence of seeing tragedy on a regular basis can contribute to depression, substance abuse, and other effects of post traumatic stress. Tragically, for some, a false sense of hopelessness results in suicidal behavior. The number of first responders who die by suicide is alarming and heart-breaking. While data is available, it is believed to be incomplete as researchers predict the number to be far more than what is reported.*
More powerful than the problem is the reality that the effects can be prevented and the damage treated. Through awareness, training, and treatment by culturally competent clinicians, first responders affected can move on to live full and satisfying lives. It is the hope of Team Guardian, through this initiative, to make as big of an impact in this as possible.
Such a great show!!

So many first responders are too afraid to step forward and keep the help they need in dark times. I have been there and I understand the fear, but you are worthy of living a life in peace and without suffering. Please take that step now and make that call to FHE -Health Shatterproof Program for First Responders. Call today - 866-768-9792 or contact me directly at 303-960-9819.
Maybe your boss pissed you off. Maybe your spouse or partner did something to get you irritated. Same with the kids. The list goes on. But, what does getting irritated and angry get you? Nothing. I know, I was in your shoes. The one thing I learned to do is to forgive. Once I learned how to forgive my world got better because I was no longer holding on to the anger and bitterness. I filled it will positive things and positive thoughts. Does it take practice? Absolutely, just like everything else but you can do it. I believe in you.
Start forgiving today and go on to your healthier life.
