Hello everyone and welcome back to episode 110. In this episode, Patrick talks about the importance of practicing mindfullness. What is mindfullness? This involves maintainig a moment-by-moment, nonjudgemental awareness of our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and our surrounding environment. Criminal justice professionals deal with dangerous situations, emotional victims and the disturbing crime scenes to name a few. Taking care of ourselves should be priority #1. After all, if we don't take care of ourselves, how can we take care of others?
