It was such an honor to have Retired Navy SEAL Commander, Jon Macaskill, on the show. He is a mindfulness and meditation teacher. He’s a Naval Academy graduate and has his masters in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School. Jon has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, off the coast of Somalia, and in Panama. Jon brings mindfulness and meditation to high performing teams to aid in dealing with stress, anxiety and depression all while increasing focus, creativity, and productivity. He is dedicated to introducing meditation and mindfulness to veterans to bring them a sense of Peace, Acceptance, Transformation and Honor (PATH) after his 24-year military service career ended in June, 2020.
He also serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Veteran’s PATH, a non-profit organization that works to introduce meditation and mindfulness to veterans to bring them a sense of peace, acceptance, transformation, and honor.

People often ask how do I stay so positive and upbeat. My answer? I don't. I have my days where I feel the opposite of upbeat and positive. Most people do. But, the majority of my days I feel great. I feel positive and optimistic for my future. And SO SHOULD YOU. Why? Because what is the alternative? Staying pissed off and negative? That is NO WAY to live your life and you have so much to be grateful for.
Remember you are in the place in your life because of your actions and YOUR THOUGHTS. Believe it or not, you are exactly where you need to be.

You are not defined by your past. You have made mistakes (we all have). You should have made a different decision (join the club), but that does not mean you carry this into the future. “Ultra” Tim Davis is an avid ultra-runner and triathlete, and an advocate for mental health and 12 step programs. He teaches and coaches how physical training promotes mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. He has completed hundreds of marathons, ultramarathons, and triathlons. He lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and 3 children. He has a BS in Exercise Science and a Master’s in Education. He has been an athletics coach and science teacher for over 20 years. He is a 12-time Ironman triathlon finisher, one-time double ironman triathlon finisher, and a 7-time 100-mile endurance run finisher.

So many people think they tarnished. That they are defined by the mistakes they have made in their life. Whether it be financial, career or relationships, we all make mistakes. Mistakes are a part of life. However, you are not defined by your past. Don't let your past control your future.
Things in your life can get better and they will get better, but you have to belief that they will. You have to know that they will. You are a powerful magnet. You are bringing things into your life, good or bad, due to your thoughts. Thoughts become things.
The Law of Attraction is real. I didn't used to believe in that, but I do now. I believe because this law has worked and continues to work in my life. It can for you too.
Remember you have so many talents and good to give back to the world. Let the past live in the past. Start controlling your future. You have the power. You always have.

A Coloradan, a Public Servant, a Fire Chief, a High-Energy Fireball, and a Trail Blazer are a few ways people know my next guest, Brita Horn. She has dedicated her life to public service in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 when she noticed a need in her local community for emergency responders. She responded to the call by creating a nonprofit fire department with her friends and neighbors in McCoy, CO which has served the community for the last 18 years. Brita currently serves as the Fire Chief for the department.
Brita’s service does not stop there. She currently serves Coloradans as the Treasurer for the Colorado State Fire Chiefs (CSFC) and the Eagle County Fire Chiefs Association. Also, as the Volunteer Section Chief for CSFC and was elected to the Club 20 Board of Directors.

You will get that in return. The Law of Attraction never fails. It's always working when you are thinking, which we all are doing all the time (except maybe when we are sleeping).
I want you to take a moment and close your eyes for thirty seconds. I want you to think of something happy. Something positive. I also want you to smile when you are doing this.
How do you feel? I bet you feel better.
Remember you control your thoughts. You are the master of your thoughts. As you go throughout your day remember Your Thoughts Become Things.
When you start to realize this, your life will change - for the better.

2020 has been filled was a devastating year for a lot of Americans. Jobs were lost, businesses were closed and unfortunately lives were lost. Though, through the doom and gloom we have persevered and learned how to adapt.
As first responders this is second nature to you. This is why you are the best in the world and will continue to be.
