As we head into the holiday season and make our way into crowded venues (malls, theaters, parties etc), its important to be cognizant of our surroundings. We need to keep in the back of our minds that disaster can strike anywhere. In this solo episode, Patrick talks about surviving an active shooter situation. Its unfortunate that we live in a society where active shooters are becoming more and more prevalent, but this is the realty of the world we live in. However, there are actions you can take to keep you and your family safe in these types, and other types, of dangerous situations. Patrick shares 10 tips to survive an active shooter.

We all need help at some point in our lives. If you are struggling or you need a coach to help you get to those next great levels in your life then reach out to my good friend Kim Ades. Kim is the founder of Frame of Mind Coaching and she has been on the podcast a couple times in the past. She and her team are amazing and can help you achieve success in your personal and professional life. Check out her free assessment on the cjevolution website.
In this solo episode, Patrick talks about the practice of not quitting and giving up. It is so easy to quit, and not get back up after failure but you have to in order to grow and get to that next level in your life. Every successful person you know has failed their way to success. It's always that way and will always be that way. You didn't get promoted? Try again and try harder. Didn't get that business deal? Try again and try harder. Remember that regret is the biggest thing most people say on their death beds. Regretting not spending more time with loved ones and regretting not going for your dreams. Live your life by working hard, taking care of your family and NOT GIVING UP.

In this episode Patrick welcomes Robert Leon Davis. He was once a respected police officer in New Orleans, serving for years until 1979. Then he was arrested. He began with aspirations to be a great cop, but he was quickly exposed to a darker side of law enforcement. While partnered with a veteran officer, he witnesses this officer violating the very laws he had vowed to uphold and shared in his crimes. One compromise led to another. Soon Robert faced arrest, so he ran. From studying criminal law at Loyola University and becoming an award-winning Officer, he now became a fugitive and skilled survivalist, living off the land in remote forests in America and Canada, where he hid for over 20 years. He grew up tough, and hard. His grandmother had made sure he learned about God, but in anger he rejected his church upbringing. Through a stranger's prayer the hostile atheist finally realized he was tired of running and turned himself in. When the District Attorney finally dusted off his file, what would his sentence be?
Robert went on to write a best selling book called Running Scared. An amazing story of survival, faith and a new path. You can find Robert here:
