We are are so honored to be partnered with a great company liked Detectachem. Take care of yourself first.
Imagine you are a cup. The resources you earn each day is water. The energy, time, and resources you give to others are holes in the bottom of your cup.
A cup that is losing water is a life filled with desperation, anxiety, and stress. But when your cup is gaining water you are happier, hopeful, and excited.
If you give more each day than you get, your life will get worse and worse.
Fill. Your. Cup. First. (Garrett Petticrew)
How do you fill your cup first? Start by building your foundation. Your foundation consists of the following:
Body and Mind – Exercise and meditate. Remember your body is the only one you will get. Take care of it. It’s your temple. Your body and mind control it all. Meditate. I love meditation. If you would have told me about it a couple years ago, I probably would have laughed at you. I don’t laugh anymore because it has worked for me and it will work for you.
Sleep – Believe it or not you need it. Stop thinking you are fine with 4-5 hours a sleep. You aren’t. Deep down you know it. You are just in that cycle. I know because I was once there. Your body needs to re-charge and regenerate. It accomplishes this with much needed sleep. You should be getting 7-8 hours of sleep. And, if you are working Graveyards you can still get the sleep you need. You just need to make it a priority.
Food – Food is the energy your body needs to operate at your peak. We all know what is good and bad for us, but many of us choose the bad. Start eating better NOW. Your body and mind will thank you.
Remember – FILL YOUR CUP FIRST

I love talking to entrepreneurs, especially those entrepreneurs who have served in the law enforcement field like my next great guest, Bryan Selzer. He is a retired Police Sergeant and the CEO and Founder of LEFTA Systems.
LEFTA Systems, a Florida-based company specializing in software to address the needs of law enforcement and other first responders, was the result. Bryan states “I didn’t know much about computers back then, but I knew a lot about the challenges of training new recruits, use of force incidents, monitoring certifications, and addressing a political environment quick to criticize.”Since the inception of LEFTA Systems 10 years ago, their products – and the pool of those they serve – have deepened. They now offer training and support for multiple industries, including law enforcement, first responders, security companies, and many other organizations that require employees to engage in organized, on-the-job training.CAN LEFTA SYSTEMS HELP YOU?Is your organization responsible for comprehensive training of new employees? Are you required to track and report data to outside to community leaders and/or government entities?Do you have to manage credentialing and certificates of employees?Do you want to make impactful changes in your organization based on real data and analytics? Are you interested in mitigating risk and identifying problems before they become problems?PARTNER WITH USWith over 250 clients coast to coast, including Miami PD, San Francisco PD, Seattle PD, Orlando PD, Albuquerque PD and more, our products are built, used, and improved by and for professionals like us. Welcome back to Microcast Monday. Remember Monday's are great days. It's day to reset. Reset in the right direction with a brand new day and a brand new week.
As we all reflect on this difficult year, I want you to dig deep into with your happiness. Are you happy? If yes, then great. If not why? Remember that YOU control your happiness. Not anyone else. Don't give that power away. Why would you? So many people look to alternatives for happiness and they don't realize that they have all the power. Your mind is powerful. Your mind is a magnet. Your thoughts will manifest into reality. If you are unhappy, don't focus on what is bringing you unhappiness. Stop giving it energy. Rather, focus on people, places, memories etc. that MAKE YOU HAPPY.
Also, decide to be happy rather than being right. Sometimes a friend, spouse or child might do something wrong, make a mistake etc. Don't focus on what they did wrong or the fact you were right. Just be happy. You can't control everything, but you can control your thoughts and how you react to life.
As you go throughout the day, practice being happy. Remember you have control over every aspect of your life.

I have had the great pleasure to talk to amazing and successful people over the years and they all share a lot of similarities. One of those, is patience. They all practice it and have said that the art of patience is a critical component to their success. We live in a world of where patience is lacking. We live in a world where we want things to happen RIGHT NOW. But, that is not reality and that is not going to bring you want you want, and need, in your life. Remember that patience is a virtue. Remember showing up consistently over time is the path to success.
Become more patient today. Stay on your success path and show up consistently.
I hope you have a great day, week and month. Reach out to me. I would love to hear from you.
