Monday Nov 04, 2019
Monday Nov 04, 2019
Hello everyone and welcome back to Microcast Monday. Special thanks to all the brave men and women who protect us every day. Thank you so much for what you do, and keep up the great work.
Special thanks to our partners Detectachem and Four Sigmatic.
Detectachem is helping keep our brave men and women safe by offering mobile threat detection. Detecting illicit drugs and explosives with technology that fits in the palm of your hand.
Four Sigmatic is a great coffee company that has amazing products. They officer everything from cocoa to coffee and I am a big fan of the Lions Mane Mushroom Coffee.
Check them both out at www.cjevolution.com
On this Microcast Monday I want to talk about your 4th Quarter Check Up. How are you doing now as we head into the end of the year? Specifically, how are you doing in the following areas:
1) Health - Everything revolves around your health. When your health suffers, everything else will too. Are you keeping the promises that you made to yourself or others at the beginning of the year? We generally don't focus on our health until something goes wrong. Remember it's never to late to start a new path.
2) Finances - How are your finances? Are you on the right path? Are you achieving the goals you set for yourself or your family at the beginning of the year? Remember its never too late to start a new good habit.
3) Relationships - Relationships are the key to personal and professional success. Cultivate and nourish your relationships. Are you on track this year?
4) Career - Are you on track with your career goals that you made at the beginning of the year? If yes, great if not what happened? Remember you still have the rest of the year to go!
You might have more categories to add to this, but these are some of the most important I use for my personal check ups. Remember that you need to take care of yourself FIRST in order to take care of others.
If you need a personal coach, I can help. Check out my EVOLVE PERSONAL COACHING HERE: Sing up for a FREE 45 Minute DISCOVERY CALL NOW:

On this Microcast Monday, I wanted to talk about a subject that each of us will face someday, and that is the subject of death. More importantly, the regrets that a lot of people take to their graves. Bronnie Ware is an Australian Nurse who worked for many years in Palliative Care, where she cared for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives. She then took her experiences and what she recorded over the years and wrote a book called The 5 Regrets of the Dying.
Here are the 5 Regrets as witnessed by Bronnie Ware:
1) "I wish I would have had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me."
2) "I wish I hadn't worked so hard." - I know you have to pay the bills and provide, but remember that your children go up fast.
Relationships and love are what matters in the end.
3) "I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings."
4) "I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends."
5) "I wish I had let myself be happier."
Go out there and conquer the day - Remember to live your true life and not a life in regret.
stay tuned for more great shows.

All the guests that come on the show are amazing. They are uplifting, inspiring and motivational. But, every once in awhile a guest will come on that really humbles me. As I was talking to my next guest, Terry Tucker, I was thinking of all the things that I complain about in my life and I was ashamed.
You see, Terry has cancer. He was diagnosed with skin cancer a few years back, fought it off, only for it to come back. In fact, doctors are telling Terry he has about a year to live. Yet, Terry has an amazing attitude that centers around self-improvement, gratitude and continuing to give back to his fellow man.
Terry has reinvented himself frequently over his professional career. After he graduated from The Citadel, he was employed in the Marketing Department at the corporate headquarters of Wendy’s International in Dublin, Ohio. From there, he worked in hospital administration for Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After getting married, he became the Customer Service Manager for an academic publishing company in Santa Barbara, California. Subsequently, he was a police officer in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following a family move to Texas, he started a school security consulting business and coached high school basketball in Houston. Each time he took on a new job, he had to develop new skills and faced different challenges. There was always a significant learning curve with each new position.
Terry later started Motivational Check, for a simple reason. When he was a recruit in the Cincinnati Police Academy, it was a phrase any of his classmates could shout if they needed encouragement, motivation or support. The response from the class was to answer with a loud “84,” signifying our Recruit Class number and letting the person needing the reassurance know that they were all there for each other.
If you are besieged with anything in your life, know there are people available, willing, and able to help you. Terry understands what it is like to fight for your life. If you do not quit, you can never be defeated. However, the responsibility for altering your life is entirely up to YOU. Whining, complaining, and blaming others for your plight will not enhance your experience. Motivation alone will not cause you to progress. YOU must want to make the change and commit to it every minute of every day. There are no days off when attempting to make significant and lasting improvements.
Such a great and inspirational episode you are going to love.

Detectachem has come up with great technology that fits in the palm of your hand that can detect illicit drugs and explosives without requiring the first responder to touch anything! Check out how they can help your organization. See their link at www.cjevolution.com

In this episode, I wanted to talk about some signs that you might need a life coach in your life. We all need help throughout our lives. We can't do it alone. Even the most successful people in the world still have coaches that help them on the daily basis. Here are some indications that you need a life coach.
1) You feel lost - We all have been here before. Maybe you feel lost right now. A life coach can help you correct course and get you on the right path.
2) You doubt yourself - A life coach can help you find clarity in your life and give you that confidence you need to realizing your dreams.
3) You have a vision but no path - A life coach can help you with a plan of action.
4) You want to change professions - A life coach can help with your confidence and assurance so you can take that step forward.
5) Improve your health - A health coach can help you accomplish this.
6) You don't have time to waste - We are all busier than ever and you don't have time to waste. Working with a coach can save time because you will come up solutions faster and keep on your path.
7) You want to make more money - A good life coach can guide you in ways to make more money so you can spend time on what you want in life.
8) Are you stressed - We all get stressed at one point or another trying to do things by ourselves. A coach can teach you relaxation techniques and exercises that can help you eliminate stress.
9) You need a confidence boost - Everyone can use a tune up in this area. A life coach can work with you on self-assertion and support you as you take risks that make your life better and help your dreams come true.

So excited to have my next guest on, Eric Standop. Eric decodes faces and facial expressions similarly to the work of a body language expert. Whether we like it or not, our face and micro expressions can tell a world about us. Eric has worked with CEOs to transform their companies and law enforcement consultation for years. By concentrating on cues like behavior, gestures, facial expressions, and micro expressions, face reading adds a new layer to police interrogation.
We all have the intuitive ability to read and interpret the feelings and expressions of those around us. There is a reason a poker face needs to be mastered and why facial micro expressions can indicate the difference between truth and lies.
Using a combination of three different schools of face reading, along with a scientific accuracy to detect the most fleeting micro expressions, master face reader Eric Standop is able to read personality, character, emotions, and even the state of a person’s health—all from simply glancing at their face.
With the release of his book, READ THE FACE, Eric is offering his sought-after readings to the media to show just how much your face can tell the world about you.

I wanted to take a few moments today and talk about believing in yourself. I know we have talked about this before, but I recently spoke with an officer from an agency in the mid west who is thinking about leaving the profession after 14 years. He wants to try other things. However, he believes he can't do anything else. This type of mindset will never get you what you want. If you don't believe in yourself who will?
When I retired I was scared to death, but I knew deep down everything would work out and it has. I wouldn't allow the naysayers and my fear to dominate my thoughts and you shouldn't either. I believed in myself and do everyday. You have to develop that mindset. The Officer I was speaking with also had people close to him telling him he couldn't do anything else. This is BS. Don't allow others to sabotage your dreams. We have this one life only. You don't want to be like many who regret a lot in the end. I gave the officer some other tips and suggestions and he told me he is going to take that big step to go after his dreams. That is AWESOME!

On this Monday I wanted to take a few moments and talk about building confidence. We all have times when are confidence takes a hit. We don't feel like we are up to the task. However, as first-responders it's so important that we not only build our confidence, but we also sustain that confidence over time. Here are some tips to help you do so.
1) Think of a time that you felt really confident. What are you confident at? Imagine you were confident right now, how does that feel to you?
2) As you remember feeling confident, you will start to feel confident. Where does that confidence start? Your head, your stomach, your feet?
3) Imagine you can see your confident feeling. What color is your feeling? Make this feel brighter and stronger.
4) Does your confident feeling, feel hot our cold? Double the temperature of your confident feeling.
5) In what direction does your feeling spin in? Whatever direction spin it faster and faster.
How much more confident to you feel now? Better? Good!
Go forth and conquer the day.
